All members of this, our unpredictable ensemble, are currently contemplating how to approach this next period in Picnic history. Many things are being taken into consideration, to bring you - a grand and noble audience - the most uninhibited chapter so far in this prog n´roll fairytale. Hopefully you will see Picnic collaborating - mostly behind the scenes - with friends and neighbours, old and new. But then again, who knows. Anyway, Stay tuned. And have patience with the 'Picnicosaurous'. Jagged teeth could be lurking in the shadows. Year...It´s a vicious circle....you've got it. |

This years SPOT-festival has been well concluded. Our associates represented the label and the bands with great care and the debut-release from BaconFlex was launched succesfully. Members of both PiCN!C and BaconFlex also collaborated with other performers several times during the festival (among others Lis Er Stille and Sofus Forsberg) and will continue to do so in the future. Yes, the most powerfull recordlabel (our very own) Barking Records, will attend this years SPOT-festival in Århus DK the 2nd + 3rd of june. Besides promoting Picnic's music, the debut release from the raunchy electroduo BaconFlex, is sure to draw a crowd around the indie-labelstands this year. Due to the facts that Picnic now has been there for more than 25 years, we have agreed to take a break and concentrate on other projects. As promised, you can now see the steps for creating the front-cover for "Maximum Misery Tour". JJ have uploaded several drafts and tells his story, how it was to create an album-cover for Picnic. Find it in the Media-section.
For the whole concept and marketing development of the new album, Picnic hired Jesper "JJ" Johansen as Art Director. This includes design of CD-cover, t-shirts, website, posters, musicvideo - anything really. JJ made himself a name with the metalband, "Mercenary", which he did the first two albumcovers for, including the above mentioned items. After that he made a career at LEGO, designing 3D-stuff for some of their concepts, like Bionicle.
The promo-version of Maximum Misery Tour will be shipped to various mediapeople in the coming weeks. Do you wish to require a promoversion for critique, please contact us and provide information of which media you represent.
The longawaited album from Picnic is just around the corner, and will be entitled "Maximum Misery Tour" - inspired by the tour of the same name in the 80's where Picnic toured most of Europe. Despite the fact, that the name may suggest a live-album, nothing is further from the truth. 10 new strong tracks with a brand lineup, will do it's best to blow the audience away - true Picnic-style!

The Record Label chosen for the release of "Maximum Misery Tour" is - surprise, surprise - Barking Records. This label was originally initiated by some of the bandmembers, and named after Picnic's album, "Barking up the wrong Tree".
With the release of "Maximum Misery Tour", Picnic have decided to dust of the ol' website, and have it designed with elements from the "Maximum Misery Tour" design concept". A website is an evergrowing base of the bands history, present time and future, and will never be entirely finished, but already we have several stuff here, never shown to the public before, and other goodies like videos, soundbits and much more. Enjoy, as non-coke-drinking people tend to say...
